A local church, Rock Creek, has a huge playtube area that's available to the public for free. It's like the McDonald's playtubes super-sized! I took Everett for the first time last week and he had so much fun.
A few weeks ago, Chance, Everett, and I went to the zoo with some mommies and their little ones. We have a friend who has a season pass and she had some free guest passes so we got it free!
My two favorite boys.
A sloth bear.
He was watching a turtle walk along the fence.
Everett and Clark loved the turtle! See him in the corner of the fence?
This is another catch up post. Every Spring, the town where we live, Maumelle, has what they called Family Fun Fest. They set up lots of carnival type rides, bounce houses, and vendors at Lake Willastein, a lake here in town. We took Everett last year and he wasn't big enough to do much, but he had a blast this year!
Everett's first ride was the motorcycles. We didn't realize that were going to be so fast, but he didn't care. He loved them!
Next was the bouncey house. He used to be REALLY afraid of these, but not any more.
The airplanes were the only other ride he wanted to ride. He's flying so fast his hair is blowing in the wind.
This picture is from one of the blow-up obstacle course things.
This blog has been seriously neglected. I apologize. Things have been busy around here and I have been taking pictures, but haven't had the time to post what has been going on with us. I will start where the last post left off and work up to the present.
On April 18th, we had an ice cream social for LittleRockMommies.com at the park. Everett loves the park and he loves ice cream so he had a great time.
James Everett was born September 13, 2007 with several heart defects that were not detected prenatally: Pulmonary Atresia (PA), Double-Inlet Left Ventricle (DILV), and Levo-Transposition of the Great Arteries (L-TGA). For more information on these defects you can visit these links: https://health.google.com/health/ref/Pulmonary+atresia https://health.google.com/health/ref/Double+inlet+left+ventricle He had his first open heart surgery, the Blalock-Taussig shunt, on September 25th when he was 12 days old. Just 10 days later on October 5, Everett had to be taken back into the OR to drain off the fluid that had accumulated around his heart that could not be diuresed with medication. In January '08 he had his Glenn procedure, and in March '09 he had his Fontan procedure. After these four open heart surgeries he is doing wonderfully!
