Yesterday, Chance picked up Everett's new glasses. He now has two pair. The new ones are more casual and are supposed to be indestructible! He looks a little like Harry Potter in them.

First of all, Happy Halloween everyone! As you can see, Everett was Mickey Mouse for Halloween. He LOVED his costume!
Everett and I have spent yesterday and today celebrating! Yesterday, we went to North Little Rock and trick or treated with Abbey, Rafe, and Sapphire and Melissa and Amelia. We had a lot of fun, but it was also a LOT of walking. It was during the day and the businesses' and churches that line JFK blvd handed out candy.
Tonight, we went to Trunk or Treat at the First Baptist Church. They handed out candy, but they also had a cake walk.
Everett picked a cookie for his cake walk prize and he enjoyed it.
The church also gave out hot dogs so Everett had one of those, too. Then, we went to the fire station.
The firemen were letting the kiddos play in the fire trucks.
Then, we went trick or treating in a neighborhood near our house. Everett got SOOO much candy. Some of the houses were giving out full size candy bars. He ended up with about 4 full size candy bars, a bag of chips, and popcorn ball plus TONS of other candy. Add that to his candy from yesterday and the candy from trunk or treat at the church and you get an obscene amount of candy!

He's not smiling, but at least he's not crying.

On September 13th my sweet little boy turned two. We celebrated in Honey Grove at Grandmommy and DaddyBill's house with tons of family and friends. The party was supposed to be a the park, but the weather decided not to cooperate. Grandmommy and DaddyBill graciously let us use their house eventhough they were out of town until the morning of the party. His party was Mickey Mouse themed or "toodles" as he calls it. We had hot dogs, chips, and cake, and Everett had a really great time. He received lots of gifts from toys to clothes to money and everything in between. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends who helped make his second birthday special!

At his two year well check at the pediatrician we were told what we already knew. He's close to average height, skinny, and has a good sized head. lol He weighed in at 22 pounds 1.2 ounces which is lower than the 5%, he was 33 1/2" tall which is the 25%, and his head circumference came in at 19 1/4% which is in the 50% completely normal for his age. He can form simple sentences, has tee teed in the potty several times, but not consistently, and is every bit of the little ball of energy he has always been.
Chance, Everett, and I spent the last week and a half in Texas. We left on the 1st and drove to Bedford where we stayed the night with Katie and her family. We woke up the next morning and went to Santa Anna where Grams, Grammy, and other family live. We had a very good visit there with grandmothers, aunts, uncles and cousins. We spent one day in Abilene and reconnected with old friends and co-workers.
Today we took Everett to the optical to pick up his glasses. He looks absolutely adorable, but we have had some difficulty keeping them on. I know that this will get easier in time (at least I hope so!).
