Cardiology Appointment

Today we took Everett to his 2nd Cardiology appointment at ACH. His oxygen saturations were at 93% which is fantastic for him, his blood pressure was good, and he weighs a little over 22 lbs so he's still a tiny guy. He had an echocardiogram, and Dr. F said that his heart function looks good and that his fenstration is very small so we are hoping that it spontaneously closes on it's own sometime in the future. Dr. F examined him and said that everything sounds good and looks good based on appearance and the echocardiogram. He told us to take him off of the Lasix (a diuretic) after just giving him doses M, W, F next week, so he'll be on one less medication-woohoo!! He'll remain on Enalapril and Aspirin indefinitely. We go back in 3 months, and we couldn't be happier with the report he received!

Texas and Glasses

Chance, Everett, and I spent the last week and a half in Texas. We left on the 1st and drove to Bedford where we stayed the night with Katie and her family. We woke up the next morning and went to Santa Anna where Grams, Grammy, and other family live. We had a very good visit there with grandmothers, aunts, uncles and cousins. We spent one day in Abilene and reconnected with old friends and co-workers.

On Thursday the 6th (Happy Birthday Bigmama!) we drove up to Honey Grove. We got to spend time with our families and friends, and Chance and I even got to go out to dinner and a movie since Everett had a sleepover with Nana. We left yesterday evening and came home. I always feel so stretched thin in Honey Grove. We have so many people to visit and so little time to do it. I feel like we don't get to spend enough time with anyone. We had a good time, but it's always nice to be home.

Today we took Everett to the optical to pick up his glasses. He looks absolutely adorable, but we have had some difficulty keeping them on. I know that this will get easier in time (at least I hope so!).
