Everett's out of surgery! Dr. G came out and told us the surgery went really well. She said the reason he has been turning blue lately is because there was some scar tissue on his pulmonary artery. It was an easy fix and there were no complications.
We got to seem him for a little bit when the brought him out. He looked pretty good (considering he just got out of open heart surgery). They are going to get him settled in the ICU and we should get to go back within the hour.
Dr. G was optimistic they could take him off the ventilator tomorrow or even tonight. Once that happens, he'll be just about ready to move to a regular room.
Thank you all for your prayers today. Keep them coming, it will be a tough recovery, but hopefully it will all be downhill from here. I'll post another couple of updates later on and include some pictures.
